In-Kind Donations

 

Thank You for Thinking of PPSC and families in need!

 

Your in-kind donations help ensure that families in need who are experiencing pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting have access to safe, essential items during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

We are deeply grateful for your generosity and care. To protect the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of the families we serve, and due to legal, environmental, and space limitations, we follow specific guidelines for accepting donations. Please review the information below before donating.

Where to Donate In-Kind Items

📍 Postpartum Support Center: 4162 Redwood Highway, San Rafael, CA 94903

Donation Drop-Off Policy for PPSC

  • Donations must be pre-approved or scheduled in advance

  • Donations are accepted at the door only

  • Please do not leave items outside the building

  • Hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri (10 am - 4 pm), Wed (4 pm - 7 pm)

  • Note: Please use the Marin Diaper Bank entrance, which is located behind the Chinese restaurant, the third blue door that has a drop-off sign on. Please ring the bell and our team will open the door for you.

OTHER LOCATIONS:

 

📍Church of our Saviour/Episcopal Church of Mill Valley

  • Location: 10 Old Mill St, Mill Valley, CA 94941

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 9:30 AM–3 PM & Sunday 7:30AM-12:30PM

  • Note: This location only accepts diapers, wipes, formula, clothes and shoes for children up to 5 years of age. 

📍B Lounge aka Boomerang Lounge (Tam Valley)

  • Location: 256 Almonte Blvd, Mill Valley, CA 94941

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM–1 PM

  • Note: This location only accepts diapers and wipes.

ITEMS WE ACCEPT

We gratefully accept new or gently used items that are:

  • Clean

  • In good working condition

  • Free of stains, odors, mold, rust, or missing parts

  • Safe and compliant with current safety standards

  • Not recalled

Commonly accepted items include:

  • New diapers (disposable)

  • New baby clothing

  • Maternity clothing

  • New, unopened baby care items

  • Child-sized furniture such as small bookshelves or child rocking chairs

If you are unsure whether an item is appropriate, please reach out before donating.

ITEMS WE DO NOT ACCEPT

Due to safety, legal, environmental, or square-footage limitations, we cannot accept the following items:

🚫 For Children

  • Used child car seats, booster seats, or car seat bases

  • Weighted blankets or weighted sleep sacks

  • Expired formula, baby food, or other food items

  • Child or adult bed sheets or linens
    (Exception: crib, bassinet, and pack-and-play sheets are accepted)

  • Cloth or reusable diapers

  • Learning towers that are not collapsible or foldable

  • Reusable food pouches

🚫 For Mothers

  • Used breast pumps or pump parts

  • Reusable nursing pads (new, unopened packages are accepted)

  • Non-maternity adult clothing

🚫 In General

  • Recalled child or maternal items or toys
    (including Boppy loungers, DockATot loungers, Crayola magnetic pip-cubes, etc.)

  • Furniture such as beds, changing tables, dressers, standard-size cribs, adult rocking chairs, recliners, or gliders
    (child-sized rocking chairs or bookshelves are accepted)

  • Kitchen appliances

  • Adult diapers

  • Opened, used, or expired toiletries or medications

  • Broken, worn, torn items, or items missing parts

  • Items with mold, rust, or strong odors
