LeeAnn Bartolini, Ph.D. - Clinical Psychologist and Professor at Dominican University of California

 

Dr. Bartolini was born and raised in Marin County. She attended graduate school at the California School of Professional Psychology and was licensed as a psychologist in 1985. She has maintained a small private practice in Mill Valley since 1985 and has been a full-time psychology professor at Dominican University of California since 1993. LeeAnn has been a member of numerous non-profit, governmental and professional boards. She was inducted into the Marin Women's Hall of Fame in 2013 for her work in education and women's issues. She is thrilled that Marin County now has a non-profit organization dedicated to women and families struggling with postpartum mental health.

Irina deFischer, MD - Retired Family Physician at Kaiser

Dr. deFischer was born in San Francisco and grew up in Marin County, graduating from Redwood High School in Larkspur before heading off to Stanford for her undergraduate degree. She attended Medical School in Lausanne, Switzerland, and chose Family Medicine for her Residency in Southern California. She practiced in Marin and Petaluma for over 30 years prior to retiring in 2018. She has been involved in several professional organizations, including 3 terms as President of the Marin Medical Society, as well as volunteer work in the community. As a mother and grandmother as well as a physician she understands the importance of family and community support for new mothers and families and is honored to serve on the board of the Postpartum Support Center.

Adam Nelson, MD -  Staff Psychiatrist at MarinHealth Medical Center  

 

Dr. Nelson received his BA in psychology with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and his MD from the University of Pittsburgh. He trained in psychiatry at the Hillside Hospital in New York, part of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Nelson has been practicing for more than 30 years, during which he has worked as a team leader or medical director in several settings, including the US Air Force, the Veterans Administration, the City of Berkeley, and San Francisco General Hospital. He served on the faculty of UC Davis Medical Center and UCSF-Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Nelson also developed and ran a street-based homeless psychiatric clinic in San Francisco and has collaborated with the Haight-Ashbury Free Clinics, Catholic Charities, Glide Memorial Outpatient Services, St Anthony’s Clinic, the Urban Indian Health Clinics and Native American Community Friendship House to increase access to psychiatric care for their patient communities. Dr. Nelson is Board Certified in Psychiatry and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Living and practicing in Marin since 2000, Dr. Nelson has served as Department Chair of Psychiatry, Medical Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services, and Emergency and Consultation Psychiatry at Marin General Hospital. He is currently the Medical Director of La Cheim Behavioral Health Services in Oakland and sees patients in private practice in Mill Valley. Also, Dr. Nelson is an active speaker, writer, and advocate for improved access to mental health services for patients and families locally and nationally.

Ra Feasby - Operations Director for Desire to Inspire Studios Foundation

Ra is a Marin County native, she graduated from San Rafael High School before going on to receive her BA in Psychology from Arizona State University. A mother of 2 who struggled with postpartum depression after her first pregnancy, she is incredibly passionate about maternal mental health and the great need that Marin County has for supporting mothers in the underrepresented communities.

 

Through the years of work at Desire to Inspire Studios, and the recent transition to its foundation status during the peak of the Covid Pandemic, she and her organization have worked closely with nonprofits to raise awareness, and tell the stories of nonprofits and the communities they help. Together with Michael Pritchard and Trevor Henley, Ra hosts two community shows: Donuts for Breakfast and We are the Remedy!

Roxanne-Albin-President-Applied-Financia

Roxanne Albin - President at Applied Finacial Services 

 

Roxanne has been in the financial services industry for over twenty years and currently is the President of Applied Financial Services (AFS). Her financial career started off in bookkeeping. She later became the Business, Finance, and Administrative Director at a local 501c-3 nonprofit, where she worked for eleven years. Roxanne received her Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Management and her Master’s degree in Global Management from Dominican University in California. She has a passion for assisting nonprofits and is known for her ability to clean up and improve disparate systems.

Roxanne’s role includes: client relationships, managing the AFS staff, streamlining client systems, contract management, and overseeing accounting processes.

In her free time, Roxanne loves to play with her grandchildren, spend time with family and friends, hike, kayak, and play with her two dogs.

Andrea Yannone - Nonprofit Specialist and Advocate for Mothers and Children

Andrea was promoted to the position of Director of Education & Training at San Francisco Ballet in 2015 and is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions for SF Ballet School, its student residence, and all education and community programs for youth, families, and adults, as well as strategic planning and board relations as a member of the senior management team. Prior to that, she held positions as the SF Ballet School Administrative Manager and Registrar, as well as positions at the San Francisco Symphony in the Education and Electronic Media departments. Andi has gained a wealth of experience in program design and development from 25 years in Arts Administration and Education. She holds a BA from the Peabody Institute/Johns Hopkins University, with additional graduate studies at Ithaca College and the Florida State University. Andrea performed as a professional musician before shifting to the administrative side of the arts and education. Mrs. Yannone is proud to serve on the PPSC's Board of Directors.

Anne French - Marketing and Business Growth Professional


Anne is a mission-driven Marketing, Brand Builder and Business Growth professional with over 25+ years growing consumer businesses across Fortune 500, mid-size and emerging/startup companies. A social anthropologist at heart, she is passionate about uncovering unmet needs in the market and building high performance teams to design and commercialize the right solution to meet people’s needs. A mom of three, she is hyper-aware of what it takes to raise a happy and thriving family, and is dedicated to providing the same kind of support network all moms and new families need and deserve. She has a BA from the University of Virginia, an MA from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA from Xavier University, and is proud to serve on the PPSC’s Board of Directors.
