Our mission is to provide a comprehensive support system and safe place for mothers/parents and families in need and to promote awareness and prevention of Perinatal Mental Health Disorders. We strive to bridge the perinatal mental health treatment gap by normalizing and destigmatizing these disorders.

Our vision is that mothers/parents and families have access to high-quality care, information, and resources and are well prepared for parenthood in a supportive and stigma-free community.

The Postpartum Support Center aims to help expectant and new parents navigate the perinatal period, reduce parental stress, and build effective support systems, particularly when confronted with considerable barriers to mental health treatment including long wait times and high costs.

We provide direct peer and social support, prevention program, practical help, information, and resources.

HOW WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

Expectant and new parents often have difficulty in finding the help they need. They may not have adequate access to social, emotional, practical, or informational support. At the PPSC, we provide the perinatal population with all of this—and in the context of a supportive community.

We offer all of our programs free of charge. Our core programs include Support LinePostpartum Support GroupsMom to Mom Peer Counseling, Marin Diaper Bank, The ROSE - PPD Prevention program.

We do not offer crisis management services. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please call 911. For additional safety information, contact the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.

CONCERNED ABOUT HOW YOU FEEL?
