Mical Falk, Ph.D. is a mother of two sons, a clinical psychologist with a private practice in Mill- Valley, and the Clinical Director of La Cheim Behavioral Health Services in Oakland, a clinic providing trauma-informed treatment for adults diagnosed with Mood, Thoughts and Anxiety disorders. As part of her role Mical facilitates individual and group supervision to psychology post-doctoral students and Associate Marriage and Family therapists and is overseeing their professional development and training. 

Dr. Falk has been studying, teaching, and practicing psychology for almost 40 years. About 25 years ago she was actively involved in researching the impact of the transition to motherhood on mothers’ experience of the post-partum period. She then developed workshops and support groups for mothers in-light of what she learned. For more than 10 years she was a frequent speaker at the Parents Place of Marin and San-Francisco, as well as other venues in San Francisco and LA.  A skilled parent educator and consultant Mical has been using her studies of Child’s Temperament in consulting parents of children ages 5m-5y.

Mical holds a Ph.D. and an MA in Clinical Psychology which she earned from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California. She also holds an MA in Expressive Art Therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She has experience working in many settings: Mental Health Hospitals, Day Treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs, College Counseling Center, Community Mental Health, and Counseling Centers.  She has extensive experience working with people from all walks of life and diverse cultural backgrounds. Dr. Jeanne-Marie Sinnott is a mother of two young boys and a family and sports medicine physician at Kaiser Permanente in San Rafael, CA. 

She was raised in Marin County and graduated from Marin Academy high school. She went to college at UC Davis and then medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After a family medicine residency in Long Beach, CA, and a year of sports medicine training in Toledo, OH, she was excited to return home to Marin.

Dr. Jeanne-Marie loves spending time outdoors, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, traveling, and exploring with her little ones.

Lara is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Miami. Prior to attending UM, Lara completed her undergraduate studies in Behavioral Biology, Psychology and French at Johns Hopkins University, and completed a post-baccalaureate fellowship in the Genetic Epidemiology Branch at the National Institutes of Health. In 2019, she successfully completed her master's thesis entitled: “A network perspective on peripartum depression: how do symptoms change over time?” Throughout graduate school, she has focused her research efforts on using mobile health technology to enhance our understanding of women's mental health issues.

Ruth Rainero holds an MA in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague in The Netherlands, and a BA from the California Institute of the Arts. She speaks five languages, sings in five more and has been teaching classical voice—first in Amsterdam and then San Francisco—for over thirty years. Her areas of expertise range from early baroque to contemporary music, and she performed internationally with a wide range of ensembles. At her private studios in San Francisco and New York City, Ruth teaches singing, voice rehabilitation, and communication skills. In addition to her classical voice studio, Ruth receives referrals from laryngologists of both singers and non-singers suffering from muscle tension dysphonia and other voice disorders. Ms. Cynthia Doherty served as an executive director of a local nonprofit, Marin Advocates for Children from 2008-2016. MAC had 2 parts - Child Abuse Prevention and CASA (court-appointed special advocates for children in the foster care system). She has a lot of experience with grant writing, fundraising, and training volunteers, among other things.
