"YOU'VE GOT THIS!" - SELF-CARE PACKAGES

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT

This program is currently being suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

What are these care packages?

​These care packages are boxes filled with: 

​

  • mom's self-care essentials 

​​

  • a journal: Keeping a journal can help mom gain control of her emotions and improve her mental health

​

  • educational/informational material on perinatal mood disorders (postpartum depression and anxiety) and how to recognize early signs

​

  • educational/informational material for partners and helpers to better understand and support new parents

​

  • self-screening tests for postpartum depression and anxiety;

​

  • personal messages of support and encouragement

​​

These packages are critical for new moms, especially those with limited means. "You've Got

This" packages give moms essential supplies and a connection to important resources.

They are distributed to pregnant and new mothers in need directly and through community partners, health organizations, and clinics. 

HOW DO THESE CARE PACKAGES HELP?

​These care packages help with:

  • Providing practical help for mothers in need

​

  • Encourage self-care in new mothers

​

  • Providing information and resources to moms and families 

​

  • Raising awareness about postpartum struggles in the community

​

  • Educating the public on how you can better support new parents 

​

  • Creating a team building activity for you and your organization
