SERVICE OVERVIEW
WHAT THIS PROGRAM OFFERS
Too often, parenting resources are aimed only at mothers. Our Father & Partner Support program changes that. We offer peer counseling, support groups, prevention programs, and education designed specifically for fathers and partners — because your mental health and bonding with your child matter just as much.

FATHER/PARTNER PEER COUNSELING
Father/Partner Peer Counseling connects fathers and partners with supportive peers who understand the emotional and practical challenges of pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood. These conversations provide a comfortable space to share experiences, discuss concerns, and receive encouragement from others who understand their journey.
Peer support can help fathers and partners feel less isolated while navigating changing responsibilities, relationships, emotions, and expectations. Participants can talk openly, gain perspective, explore helpful resources, and build confidence while learning that seeking support is a positive part of supporting themselves and their families.
Matched with a trained father or partner peer.

Connection to clinical care if you need more support.
Dads struggle too. One in 10 fathers experience depression during the perinatal period.
SUPPORT GROUP FOR DADS
Support Groups for Dads provide a welcoming, judgment-free environment where fathers can connect with others experiencing the transition into parenthood. Group discussions offer opportunities to share personal experiences, talk about challenges, exchange encouragement, and develop meaningful connections with other fathers.
Becoming a father can bring significant emotional, relationship, and practical changes. A supportive group can help dads feel understood and less alone while providing opportunities to learn from others, discuss concerns openly, discover useful resources, and strengthen their confidence throughout the parenting journey.
Father Support services are free, judgment-free, and tailored to each family's unique needs. Reaching out is the first step toward healing and support. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to show up.

HOW TO SUPPORT A PREGNANT/POSTPARTUM PARTNER
Supporting a pregnant or postpartum partner involves understanding the physical, emotional, and practical changes that can accompany pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood. Partners can play an important role by listening, communicating openly, offering reassurance, sharing responsibilities, and creating a supportive environment during this transition.
Every pregnancy and postpartum experience is different, so learning how to recognize changing needs can make meaningful difference. Guidance can help partners understand when additional support may be needed, encourage healthy communication, and connect their partner with appropriate professional, community, and mental health resources.
You don’t need to be a mental health expert-just be present, informed, and supportive. Learn practical ways to help and recognize when professional support is needed.

PATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH SCREENINGS
Paternal Mental Health Screenings provide fathers and partners with an opportunity to reflect on their emotional well-being during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Screening can help identify concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, isolation, or other emotional challenges that may affect daily life and relationships.
A supportive screening environment allows fathers and partners to discuss concerns without judgment and better understand what they may be experiencing. When additional support is appropriate, individuals can explore resources, referrals, education, and professional care that align with their personal needs and circumstances.
Validated screening tools adapted for fathers and partners.
Immediate review of results with a trained staff member.
Warm connection to peer support or therapy if needed.
Depression doesn’t skip dads. Screening is the first step to feeling like yourself again.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO NAVIGATE THIS ALONE.
