FOR PROVIDERS, VOLUNTEERS & FAMILIES
TRAININGS & WEBINARS
PPSC builds its own peer-support workforce through hands-on volunteer training, and connects the wider community to trusted outside courses on perinatal mental health. Whether you're a lived-experience volunteer, a clinician, or just curious, there's a way in.

POSTPARTUM SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL TRAININGS
PSI offers certificate courses and free webinars on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders for mental health and healthcare professionals — many PPSC staff and volunteers have trained through PSI themselves.

WHY WE TRAIN THIS WAY
LIVED EXPERIENCE, BACKED BY REAL TRAINING
Many of PPSC’s peer counselors first came to the organization as mothers seeking support for themselves. They then received formal training in maternal mental health, peer support, and building perinatal social support networks before supporting others. Their lived experience, combined with professional training, helps them understand the challenges mothers face and connect with them in a compassionate, informed way. This combination — real experience plus real training — is central to how PPSC’s programs work and creates a supportive space where mothers can feel heard, understood, and less alone.
